Vojny sa v dejinách ľudstva vždy začínali kvôli túžbe po moci, po iných územiach, po ovládnutí iných národov. Historicky poslednou apokalypsou ľudstva bola Druhá svetová vojna, ktorá si vyžiadala 50 miliónov obetí, zväčša civilov. Jej zárodky sa zrodili už v roku 1919 podpísaním Versaillskej mierovej zmluvy, ktorá pripravila Nemecko o armádu i územia. S týmto ponížením sa nevedel zmieriť bývalý vojak Adolf Hitler. Postupne sa dostal k moci a od roku 1933 začal uskutočňovať svoj sen dobyť Európu, dobyť svet a dokázať nadradenosť árijskej rasy. Najprv Rakúsko, Sudety, potom agresia voči Poľsku...
