Už jsem mrknul na jedničku... Maggie vypadá fakt jako holčička. Jinak film sám nic moc, občas trochu vtipnej, slušný akční prvky, ale někteří herci vyloženě strašný. Ale stejně na další 2 díly časem mrknu.

Jim_Beam : Rozhodně mrkni! Maggie má v téhle sérii vyloženě vedlejší roli, ale i kvůli ní je fajn si pustit všchny díly po sobě - vidět, jak se změnila v průběhu osmi let...

Koukám, že bych měl na Police story mrknout. Dík za doporučení. :)

Tak jsem měl v posledních týdnech možnost vidět "Police Story 1 - 3". A musím říct, že v prvních dvou dílech (v prvním obzvlášť) Maggie vypadala jako sotva dorostlé kuře :). Ale ve trojce je z ní už ženská a je radost na ni pohledět!! Navíc ona je vážně nejen skvělá dramatická herečka, ale má v sobě i komediální talent.

Kass : Bohužel netuším. Ale asi to bude spíš jen drobná role, další ze splněných snů Quentina Tarantina (viz Sonny Chiba v "Kill Bill")... Ale účast Maggie zvyšuje moje očekávání u "Inglouirous Basterds" velice. Však kdo by se na ni po tolika letech netěšil ;)?

Madame Mimieux? :-) Nevíte někdo jak velká by ta role v "Inglourious Basterds" mohla být?

Ona to bohužel možná nebude jen pauza... Záleží na tom, jestli dostane OPRAVDU zajímavou nabídku. A na tom, jak moc se jí bude dařit ve věcech, kterým se teď věnuje (modeling, porotcování, hudba, malování a mnoho dalších). Maggie si prostě momentálně užívá života - a tak jí to přejme. A i kdyby se nakonec nikdy k filmu nevrátila, není důvod smutnit. Důkazů její výjimečnosti máme dost.

Tak jo, včerejšek mě přesvědčil, Maggie je bohyně, ve Stvořeni pro lásku je nádherná, křehká a zranitelná, stejná mi připadala i v Hrdinovi, jen tam se to zvláštně mlelo s jakousi nedostupností a chladností... Každopádně ať již působí jakkoli, o tom, že je bohyně, není pochyb... .)))

Jj, Maggie je vrchol v jinu, pak to muze jit uz jenom k jangu, jinak by se zritil vesmir.....

tequilla :  Tak to není možný už z jedinýho důvodu - kdyby taková holka existovala, vychýlilo by to rovnováhu vesmíru takovým způsobem, že by došlo k jeho zániku - už s Maggie je to na hraně ;))).

Ona je fakt bohyně. Jedna z nejhezčích Hongkongských hereček, ale moje holka je hezčí. No prostě na ni nějak nemá.

Maggie Cheung's career defies all convention

Dec. 5, 2005 issue - On a large balcony overlooking the early-evening lights of the Hong Kong skyline, a crowd of more than 100 mingles and artfully sips champagne. In one corner, a television screen flickers with looped video images of Maggie Cheung Man-yuk: receiving the best-actress prize at last year's Cannes Film Festival; giddily runningshoes in hand through a hotel; holding court at a press conference. Nearby, Cheung chats in person with admirers as she takes slow drags from a cigarette.

The elegant evening in early November was supposed to celebrate Qeelin, a Chinese luxury jewelry brand, but it easily turned into a tribute to Cheung's career as a living Hong Kong legend: part film goddess, part fashion icon. "When I am designing, I have an image of a very modern lady," says Dennis Chan, a cofounder of Qeelin and a close friend of the actress's. "Maggie gives me inspiration. I like her because she is a leader, not a follower." Indeed, after Cheung was photographed at Cannes wearing Chan's modern interpretation of the traditional Chinese good-luck gourd, a whole Qeelin counterfeiting industry sprang up on the mainland.

The multi-award-winning Cheung has always done things her own way. For years, between films, she designed clothes for a hip local boutique, capitalizing on her stature and on the Hong Kong public's faith in celebrity taste. Then, more than a year ago, she took on Qeelin, serving as official "muse" and sometime art director of its print ads. Since then, she has helped turn the jeweler from a young, unknown company into one of Asia's most coveted brands.

It's been a welcome reprieve from her busy life as a film star. After a succession of memorable cinematic leading rolesfrom Wong Kar-wai's emotionally charged "In the Mood for Love" (2000) to mainland director Zhang Yimou's action-packed "Hero" (2002) to last year's Cannes-winning "Clean" by French auteur (and ex-husband) Olivier Assayasthe Hong Kong star yearned for a quiet year away from the set to pursue her interest in fashion, as well as to contemplate her next film project. "It's part of what I do," says Cheung.

Although it hasn't been announced yet, she's signed on to work on a U.S. indie film next year. She is also considering other movie roles, but sets a high bar. "I'm asking for a lot when I read a script," Cheung says, because at this point in her life, she wants "to make films that last." At 41, Cheung is the rare Chinese actress who has been able to defy the conventions of the Asian film industry, which values female talents almost solely for their youth and beauty, and their usefulness as decorative complements to male action stars. "People can tell that I am here to act, and I think they appreciate it," she says. "I am not here for the fame."

Cheung started out the classic Hong Kong way. When she was a teenager, an agent discovered her on the street. After winning several modeling assignments, she entered 1983's Miss Hong Kong pageant and was chosen first runner-up. She was cast in TV soap operas and movies, getting her first big break as one of Jackie Chan's leading ladies in 1985. In the beginning, she acknowledges, she had no idea what she was doing. But the actress paid close attention and took calculated risks. Between doing crowd-pleasing but critically dubious films with titles like "It's a Drink, It's a Bomb" and "Chasing Boys," she accepted roles that gave her the opportunity to work with directors like Wong, Yon Fan, Stanley Kwan and Ann Hui, who taught her about acting. "I am much happier to be 41 than 21," says Cheung. "It is much harder today. [I used to] make nine or 11 films a year. Only two were goodbut people forgot the bad ones." In 1992, Cheung became the first Chinese actress to win the best-actress prize at the Berlin Film Festival, for her role as a legendary 1930s Shanghai movie star in Kwan's "The New China Woman."

Cheung will go to impressive lengths to fully inhabit a role. William Chang Suk-ping, the meticulous art director for most of Wong Kar-wai's films, recalls her sense of purpose in shooting the iconic "In the Mood for Love." Every day the actress would spend four hours getting her hair done (and redone) to achieve the perfect 1960s lacquered up-do that he required. If the coiffure was not up to his standards, she would go through the entire process again. "She knew it was for her own good," says Chang. And, by extension, for ours.

Napsal jsem sem, že Maggie Cheung je bohyně ještě předtím než jsem viděl Stvořeni Pro Lásku...ano, ten film mě dostal, ale kopírovat sem potřetí ten samej příspěvek, to už by bylo trapný i na mě;)

No nevím jestli je bohyně, ale rozhodně je zvláštním způsobem krásná... Nepřipádá mi jako typická kráska, ale má v sobě něco nepopsatelně uhrančivýho... Nebo tak něco :)
