Cheongnyeongyeongchal (2017)

Such a good original concept. In general, Korean movies are full of great original ideas, that's why I like them so much. Midnight Runners is a great mix of comedy, action and crime story, rarely to be seen. I enjoyed every bit of it and I wish there would be a sequel with this duo. Definitely worth to watch if you're looking for something different. Especially in these days when cinema is bleeding a lot and Hollywood is almost dead if not already. So to pick something from an East culture is so refreshing. 8/10

Beomjoidosi (2017)

Oh my, that was so good and refreshing! Don Lee is hilarious and Korean movies rarely disappoints me, but this was way above my expectations. Good plot with even better execution. I'm ready for the next part...9/10

One Percenter (2022)

So much talking about real fighting just to prove the opposite. The most close real fights "pain and moves" comes to my mind right now are from Tony Ja in Ong Bak and Iko Uwais in Raid where choreography was perfectly executed. Jackie Chan's movies are amazing nonetheless. This movie....naaaah. It's like 1% of joy if you compare with others. Wait, 1% ?. Maybe that was the point of it :).

Opičí človek (2024)

Fights are good. Some of them. Story is way too predictable with all those boring flashbacks. Monkey man is trying to be a movie with real consequences for the main character, but there is way too fantasy in it for me. If they would just keep it more on a serious side without all that religious crap and fairytales it could be next John Wick from India. But honestly, it's just a next mediocre rip-off.

Vládca temnôt (1987)

Quite unique. To me, much better choice than most of the "evil spirit/possession" horrors these days. Has very slow buildup, but pretty shocking and creepy scenes with surprising ending. 7/10

Háveď (2023)

Yes sir!.... So what do we've got here? There aren't a lot of horror movies about spiders, well if you google it, you'll get a "few" :), but not that many I would say good. Even less, when we speak about real horrors (not those cute B-classes). Still, it all started with "Tarantula", my favourite is "Arachnofobia" and then you have things like "Spiders" or "Eight Legged Freaks" if you like to laugh along the way. But Vermines is different. As a movie it stands for 4 stars, as a horror about spiders, definitely 5. Taking into consideration that this was a directorial debut....bravo! I need to keep an eye on a director next move. Vermines doesn't try to disgust you or make you laugh, just pure suspense and fear what is coming next and it'll keep you on a hook till the end. Wonderful atmosphere and no blind spots. 8/10

Náš svět plný života (2024) (seriál)

Netflix is much better in production of documentaries than movies. This one really catches your eyes with its visuals and narrative. Truly a must-see if you're a fan. And if you're not, make yourself a favour and learn something about our planet and life on it. 10/10

Absolutely enjoyable conversation/discussion between two biggest action movie stars of all time. Rivals and friends all along the way.

Asphalt City (2023)

Supposed to be dedicated to all paramedics of almighty USA and beyond I guess. No, I don't know how hard is it out there for them. And neither do you, you lovely and kind "movie critics", so please, stop pretend. If I want to watch and see paramedics in a real life with a real consequences, I'll watch our 112 or any other documentary or clips on YT and it would be more reliable than this. I was hyped for a good drama with a good story, maybe even little bit of action or crime in it. And of course, even though when my expectations are not important, I'm not gonna rate this higher because of fake acting paramedics. And because of respect to real paramedics. This is a movie, nothing more and as a movie with a purpose of story-telling it does do an average job really. And below average acting full of the same emotions. Anger and desperation. I get it, its an emergency. But couldn't they offer more than 2 hours of routine story which is going nowhere? It's a movie, not documentary! But, I think it's trying to be both and that's why it's failing in both, naturally. 4/10
