I must say, those 13 minutes of my life, I will not regret by watching this charming piece of art. It is truly amazing to watch progression in movie industry and I'm glad that this is considered to be first true movie ever. You just can't help yourself and must smile by watching it..10/10.

I think, this is my first meeting with Vincent Price in the movie. He's really good with face expressions and I can see why horror was his specialty. He has a perfect face and voice for it. House of Usher is dark and slow movie, but not boring. Sometimes, all you need is: 4 actors, 1 ugly house and 1 Edgar Allan Poe. Especially the Poe. Then it's not so hard to get yourself into that dark and chilling mood, when you know something is not right, but you can't be certain how the story ends yet. And that is actually important with slowly graduating horror. To not know where is the truth. I haven't read the story before so I didn't know obviously. And I've had a few moments of frustration throughout the movie, probably the same as the main character looking for the answers. Pretty sure that's the director's intent here. Overall.... enjoyable and well made. 7/10

I do understand why is the rating the way it is. The movie is not from our era. And to judge it by today's "standards", you most likely never appreciate it. It's from the times when people could get scared far less from motion pictures, so all the possibilities what you can put on a screen were just about to be discovered. And they were trying to put there all kinds of stuff. Stuff that might be very boring nowadays, even to be the target of mocking. But don't mind those opinions. If you're really into movies, old horrors or sci-fi, you need to check this out. The movie is a-o-k as it is. No, it's not scary, but probably it was back then. And that's fascinating. Another fascinating thing is to watch how people used to get along with each other and talk to their friends or family in those times. So try to have an open mind and give this movie a chance. Especially if you're into old classics and like to watch development in cinematography over the years. It's a nice movie about working together and fighting against an unknown threat from the outer space. And that's it, simple as that. 8/10

What a fucking weird movie. I don't mind to watch fetishes of one twisted mind, like the one of "MR." director here if it has something to offer, but there's a problem. After 30 minutes or so, its just boring, self-drowning theatrical expression with no further value. Btw, it's not a horror, not a sci-fi and definitely not a comedy. Its just a ripped-off theatre glued together by crazy psycho thoughts about fetishes. So please, stop mumbling about some sequel to The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. 2/10

Wonderful movie. I don't mind a short duration and quick guide through all the events, from Dracula's castle to the ship and then London. Yes, the film itself is very quick, many will say that it does not cover story properly. Well first, you need to consider studio budget, censorship and time of the release. Certainly it is not a masterpiece, but the impact of Lugosi expressions and movie itself will probably resonate for centuries. As a matter of fact, movie is now almost 100 years old and I definitely enjoyed it. My honest review of the story is 4 of 5, but overall I must go higher regarding its legacy. 8/10

22 years since release and it's funny how all those old average reviews of movie "critics" turned to be just so wrong. Now if you'd check any of the top 10 or whatever best "zombie-survival-horrors-of-all-time" lists, you can bet that you'll find it there. And most likely, right on the top. Why? Authentic style of camera, which by the way was made by high-end home market camera with a purpose to give the film a natural grainy look and immediate feel. Next is a perfect script and storytelling, natural behaviour of characters with amazing Cillian Murphy, and satisfying ending. Now, two decades after release we can easily say that 28 Days Later is a cult in its genre. 10/10

Much better than expected. Trying to pose as an action drama at some moment where the drama parts are not so good and feel odd. As far as action goes- almost flawless and very enjoyable. Nice fighting choreography with good old Statham's english humour. Bit of reminder of his Transporter glory. In that way, I like it a lot. Plot is not so bad as you may think or others will tell you. Even with a good portion of exaggeration, the core is still believable, hitting a modern audience. Scamming is becoming a huge problem and business in some countries, therefore they need some proper kicking and revenge. Dumb? Maybe. But surprisingly works. And I'd like to see a sequel. 7.5/10

Simple, brilliant and easy to watch. Despite duration, definitely not boring, without blank spaces and full of great natural acting. 8.5/10
