V pokračovaní najúspešnejšieho hororu všetkých čias sa do mesta Derry vracia zlo a členovia Klubu núl budú musieť opäť spojiť svoje sily na mieste, kde to všetko začalo. Od hrôzostrašných udalostí ubehlo 27 rokov. Členovia Klubu núl sa rozišli a žijú si vlastné životy. Mike ako jediný ostal v rodnom meste a je nútený zvolať ostatných členov klubu späť do Derry, kde budú spoločne opäť čeliť zlu. Všetci sú poznamenaní hrôzostrašnými zážitkami z minulosti, každý z nich bude musieť preto opäť prekonať svoj najsilnejší strach a čeliť klaunovi, ktorý je teraz nebezpečnejší ako kedykoľvek predtým.
