Slovo Chronos označuje v starogréckom bájosloví čas personifikovaný ako boh. Dokumentárny film bez použitia komentára, len za pomoci hudby sprostredkúva obrazy dávnych stavieb z rôznych kútov sveta, ako sú napríklad Stonehenge či egyptské pyramídy. Okrem toho tiež ukazuje rušný a hektický život v súčasných veľkomestách. Režisér Ron Fricke sa o niekoľko rokov neskôr viacej preslávil filmom s podobnou tématikou - Baraka. (curunir)
