Dokonalost.

Je správné dodržovat zákon nebo řídit se vlastním přesvědčením? Nadčasový a velmi nedoceněný western. Konec krásně popsal jistý Ahsoka Tano. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SPOILER ALERT---------------------------------------------------------------------- The ending was brutal and brilliantly executed. There was no other way to end the film. It completely destroyed the myths and legends that we are so comfortable with. This is how it would have happened, because Silence wasn't a hero. He was never meant to be a hero. He was looked up to be as one by the wrongly accused Mormons who were not only being killed for petty crimes to survive, but being prosecuted for their beliefs as well. He was seen as an almost Christ-like figure, but was ultimately just a man. Yes, he might have seemed foolish to some, but thinking about it, would it have really been better if Silence and Pauline ran for it? How could they know there wouldn't be more bounty hunters waiting for them, and would they really have been better off knowing they left dozens of innocent people to be brutally slaughtered by these men and Loco, who not only believes he is on the right side of the law and morality, but of history itself? It is made all the more tragic and powerful due to the fact that Silence, despite his injuries, attempts for a final gesture, and it fails. This is the epitome of the west, the death of the western heroes and it's legends. There could not be a more perfect ending to a genre with such set standards. It is highly realistic and symbolic, maybe even a little too real. This is most haunting and beautifully tragic Western which had the final word that no one would ever do again.

Po vsech strankach vynikajici film! Bohuzel pul hvezdicky dolu za Maxe Baera, ktery byl ve skutecnosti trosku jiny nez ve filmu. Zaokrouhleno (po dlouhem uvazovani) dolu na ctyri.
