Komediální drama Stephena Poliakoffa, britského režiséra, producenta, autora televizních her a scénářů, vypráví o zdánlivě banální zápletce - totiž vztazích v rodině. V jedné hodně velké rodině, která se po letech odloučení znovu schází celá. Režisér tak ale činí s lehkostí a nadhledem za podpory plejády skvělých britských herců útočí nejen na diváky, ale i na kritiky. Michael Gambon dostal za svoji roli otce rodiny dostal televizní cenu BAFTA, porota Banff Rockie ocenila dílo jako nejlepší sérii roku 2002 a televizní ceny RTS se urodily dokonce dvě - pro nejlepší sérii/drama a pro autora námětu. Perfect Strangers byli i nominováni na prestižní cenu Emmy. (Morien)
