Dvoudílný televizní film vypráví příběh Harryho Houdiniho, první skutečné americké superstar, která se proslavila po celém světě. Přistěhovalec z východní Evropy Ehrich Weiss, jenž začínal jako kouzelníček v podřadné cirkusové show a dotáhl to až k vyprodaným koncertním halám, proslul pod uměleckým jménem Houdini. Oscarový Adrien Brody ztvárnil hlavní roli velkého Harryho Houdiniho, který si klestí cestu ke slávě, zaplétá se do špionáže, bojuje proti spiritistům a setkává se s největšími osobnostmi své éry - americkým prezidentem počínaje a sirem Arthurem Conanem Doylem či Rasputinem konče. Drama Houdini je strhující podívanou, která nás zavádí do hlubokých zákoutí Harryho duše a odkrývá nám zákulisí mágova života skrze jeho triky, vize i mistrovské iluze. Vedle Brodyho se ve filmu představí také Kristen Connollyová v roli Bess Houdiniové, Harryho životní lásky i jeho pravé ruky, a Evan Jones jako Harryho asistent a důvěrník Jim Collins. (HBO Europe)
