Zvítězí právo nad rychlými kolty? Spaghetti western Velký souboj natočil italský režisér Giancarlo Santi, který předtím působil jako asistent režiséra Sergia Leoneho na natáčení filmů Hodný, zlý a ošklivý (1966) nebo Tenkrát na Západě (1968). Do hlavní role obsadil hvězdu westernů Lee Van Cleefa, který zde ztvárnil postavu bývalého šerifa Claytona, který se vydává na vlastní pěst vykonat spravedlnost a očistit jméno nespravedlivě odsouzeného vězně Phillippa Wermeera (Alberto Dentice). Ten byl křivě obviněn z vraždy vlivného patriarchy Saxona, který po sobě zanechal tři pomstychtivé syny. Ti na Wermeerovu hlavu vypsali vysokou odměnu tří tisíc dolarů, na kterou si dělá zálusk každý bandita v okolí. Wermeer představuje lákavou kořist a před lovci odměn ho na poslední chvíli zachrání bývalý šerif Clayton. Ten je přesvědčen o jeho nevině a společně se vydávají do Saxon City, aby se postavili trojici prohnilých bratrů i za cenu nevyhnutelného krveprolití. (Česká televize)
