Maličký Marcel je drobná mušle. Žije sám se svojí babičkou ve velkém domě. Přistěhuje se k nim však amatérský dokumentarista Dean a začne o Marcelovi natáčet krátká videa. V nich se mu Marcel svěřuje se svými trápeními, vypráví mu o zmizení své rodiny nebo ukazuje všemožná vylepšení, která mu usnadňují život.
