Postavičky UglyDolls si žijú svoj bezstarostný život v mestečku Uglyville, kde je vítané všetko iné,zvláštne, a nikto nikoho neposudzuje podľa toho, ako vyzerá. Moxy však nie je spokojná, a preto nahovorí niekoľko svojich kamarátov, aby odišli z malého mesta a vydali sa hľadať „Veľký svet“, kde má každá hračka skutočného parťáka – ľudské dieťa. Objavia však niečo iné... Inštitút dokonalosti je zariadenie, v ktorom vychovávajú dokonalé hračky. Lenže vo väčšine prípadov je dokonalá iba fasáda, ktorá mnohých núti skrývať aj tie najmenšie chybičky krásy, ale vyhoveli prísnym kritériám. UglyDolls zrazu začínajú chápať, čo znamená byť odlišný, keď niekto túži byť milovaný. Nakoniec ale prídu na to, že nemusíte byť perfektní, aby ste boli úžasní, pretože najviac záleží na tom, kým naozaj ste. (Forum Film SK)
