Dva bratři Jacob (Anton Yelchin) a Buddy (Chris Marquette) přijdou o svého otce. Oba kluci jsou tak záhy odkázáni sami na sebe. Zatímco mladší Jacob hraje na housle, starší se musí o něj postarat, nejdříve však pomstí smrt svého otce. Dostane totiž od místního bosse fotografii muže, který údajně jejich otce zabil. O patnáct let později, v době, kdy Jacob již bydlí ve městě a Buddy zůstal na mexické vesnici, je Jacob pozván zpět domů. Pomalu tak odhaluje podivnou minulost, která je připravila o otce, a praktiky místního bosse Juliuse (Vincent D´Onofrio). (Terva)
