Kristin Gustavsson žije so svojim mužom Petterom a dcérou Idou v Solvorne v západnom Nórsku. Je to žena, ktorá je zvyknutá mať všetko pevne pod kontrolou, či už je to jej obchod, alebo dcérine pubertálne výstrelky. Jej pokojný svet sa však mení, keď sa po dlhej neprítomnosti do dediny vracia jej mladšia sestra Marit. Pozná totiž tajomstvo, ktoré Kristin chcela pred svojou dcérou Idou navždy ukryť. Marit, "čierna ovca" rodiny, je skutočnou matkou dievčaťa, no hneď po pôrode ju, sama takmer ešte dieťa, na nátlak rodičov musela zveriť svojej staršej sestre... (RTVS)
