Barbar Ronal (Pierce Gravens) je mladý muž s nízkým sebevědomím. Je opakem všech svalovců a je to slaboch. Musí však převzít odpovědnost za osud svého kmene. Zlý pán Volcatar (Lars Mikkelsen) pořádá nájezdy na vesnici a unáší postupně všechny její obyvatele. Až na Ronala. Ten je nakonec nucen vydat se na dobrodružnou cestu, aby zachránil celou svou osadu. K výpravě se také přidávají další osoby. Alibert, Zandra nebo Elric. Všichni se pak snaží vyřešit vzniklé problémy a zachránit vesničany. (Terva)
