ssfan: Dobrá práca, vyzerá to dobre. Andersis: Väčšinou ide o to, čo aj dá od tvorcov očakávať, teda aké je Rumunsko krásne, aký je schopný štáb a herci, ale zaujme, že Seagal má 4 dlhé akčné scény a zúčastní sa aj viacerých iných akcií a že sa režisér zameral na to, aby bojoval len on, takže dablér by tam asi moc byť nemal a že chcú dať fanúšikom to, čo si zaslúžia. Producenti a ostatní vraj hovoria, že to má byť Seagalov najlepší film za posledných desať rokov a má mať približne 98 minút.

Režisér Lauro Chartrand odpověděl fanouškům na steven-seagal.net na cca 20 dotazů. Tady jsou: Dear Mr. Chartrand, how was your experience in working on a movie with Seagal? I had a great experience collaborating with Mr. Seagal. It was my second time and we work well together. Because of my Martial Arts background we share allot of the same ideas. How was it working in Romania and did you find any interesting locations to shoot? Romania was wonderful, it was not a busy time there so we were very lucky in that we had the best pick of cast and crew. We filmed mostly in Bucharest which is a beautiful city and gives very rich visuals for the film. Do you know when is the planned release date for the movie? At this point we are just finishing up the post process and the film will be finished soon. I do not know the proposed release date just yet though. How many fight scenes does Steven have in the film? Steven has four main fight scenes in the film along with plenty of other action as well. Did Steven do all the fightscenes by himself? Yes, that was one of the things I really wanted to focus on is that Steven was in every fight scene doing what he does best! This was the first movie that you have directed right? How was that? Was it difficult? It was my first full feature as a main unit director and it was a great experience that had plenty of hurtles, but I had a great team. We shot the film in 18 days which provided it's own set of challenges with the many locations we had in the script. We just had to be resourceful without compromising the look and feel of the film. Can you tell us a little bit more about the storyline and Seagals role in it? Steven's character has come to Romania as part of a newly formed International Drug Task Force. His partner was killed while under cover 6 months after they arrived. Headquarters sends a new partner over to assist Steven and his Romanian team in bringing down the two Mafia heads who are running the majority of drugs, prostitution, etc. Anymore than that and I might start giving things away! Did you have "carte blanche" in filming Born To Raise Hell or did the producers/studio have much "influence" in the end product? Of course as a first time director I did not have "Carte Blance" but they did respect my vision and helped me in every way possible to see it get up on the screen. How would you characterise the look and feel of the movie? As best I could and given the time and resources that I had I tried to give it a bit of a feel crossed between "Man On Fire", "Taken" and "The Bourne Ultimatum". Of course we didn't have those kind of budgets to work with, but it did turn out pretty good. I am very happy with it! Did you work with a more Romanian crew or American crew? 95% of our cast and crew were from Romania and they did an amazing job. If you worked with Romanians, did a language barrier effect the overall production or was the crew very professional? There really wasn't much of a language barrier as 99% of the Romanian crew spoke English. The crew was very professional and had allot of previous experience. How did you motivate Seagal for this movie and during shooting? I think my single most motivational discussion with Steven was that I wanted to give his fans what they deserved, I wanted the Steven Seagal from the early days like "Above The Law". That film still stands out for me because when Steven came on the scene there was no one else like him. Still to this day, no other action star has the Aikido technique and skill level that Steven does. On what level would you place Born To Raise Hell looking back at Seagals previous movies? I am only going by what the producers and others who have screened it are saying, "It's the best Seagal film in the past 10 years." How did you experience working with Seagal and would you like to make more movies with Seagal. As I said my experience was a great one and I would work with him again for sure. How do you feel about the development of the movie industry? For example shooting in 3D? I think the advancement of HD technology has made it possible to continue to bring quality independent product to the viewing audience. 3D is becoming easier because of that advance in HD as well, so I'm sure we'll see allot more 3D movies, even independents in the near future. Was Seagal happy with the way filming went and if there is a final product are you happy with it? I think Steven was pleasantly surprised at the quality of product we were able to achieve on such a short shooting schedule. I am very happy with the film and look forward to directing more. Are you a fan of Seagals pictures? Did his past films influence this film? I am of course a Seagal fan, especially having a heavy Martial Arts and Action based background. I purposely did not watch any of Steven's recent movies as I wanted my influence to come from me and my styles, not what has been done in the recent films he has worked on. I wanted to give the fans a fresh look and feel. Do you feel that you put your own directing "Stamp" on the picture? Yes, most definitely. In all respect, whats your standpoint on the current ADR situation in Seagal films? Do you think it effects the finished product? ADR is always a tough one and yes it does effect the finished product. It is often impossible to have all the artists do ADR since their schedule may not allow them to do it when we are finally ready to record it. In a lot of his last movies Seagal’s voice has been dubbed. Is this also going to happen with Born To Raise Hell? We have done everything possible to assure that it is Steven throughout the film. Has the movie Born To Raise Hell been sold to an international distributor? Voltage Pictures is in charge of distribution. Will it be released theatricaly in some Asian countries? As far as I know it may be released theatrically in some Asian and European countries. How long will the movie be? The movie times out at 98 minutes I believe. Začíná to vypadat zajímavě.

Ale ved´ sa aj niečo spomínalo, že mimosúdna dohoda už bola odmietnutá, takže by to malo skončiť pred súdom.

No len aby neskoncil v base. Ale ja verim, ze sa dohodnu mimosudne, takze sa Seagal o svoj zadok bat nemusi : )

Stejně na nic, jak může takovýhle úplně vymyšlené nařčení zkazit život na pár měsíců.

Natáčení druhé řady Lawmana bylo ale kvůli té kauze pozastaveno. Teď někdy by se to ale mělo vyřešit. Myslím, že když jsem o tom někde četl tak se něco psalo o cca 25.květnu. Snad tý ženský prokážou, že si všechno vymyslela a Steven bude mít klid.

Njn. Tak Steven má na krku ted tu kauzu a natáčí Lawmana. A nebo si počká po Mačetě, co mu příjdou za nabídky.

Ved´ film je predsa teraz vo fáze postprodukcie, takže ešte nie je dokončený, ale niečo sa spomínalo, že by mal vyjsť v septembri. Mňa skôr trápi, že sa nič nové nechystá.

Ten film už je natočený od listopadu minulého roku, ale asi stále nejsou peníze na to, aby ten film pustili do oběhu.

Nevíte někdo kdy to víjde?

Lacike: V poriadku, ja len, že ten tvoj príspevok tak zvláštne vyznel. Ja mám na zábavu Ameriku a na kvalitu zase Východnú áziu a podľa toho, na čo mám momentálne chuť, tak na tú oblasť aj siahnem.

Ale ja netvrdim, ze kto ma rad akcne filmy, tak uz nema rad nic ine. To by bolo dost nezvycajne. Ty vsetko beries strasne radikalne. Bud alebo. Nic medzitym.

Lacike: Ved´ som len skopíroval vetu z tvojho príspevku.

sniper18: zase mi vkladas do ust nieco, co som nepovedal. Skoda. Myslel som si o tebe nieco viac. Expendable: ok, diky za odpoved, ale ja si to asi naozaj nikdy nepustim.

Přesně tak, nechápu jak se někdo může koukat na to samé, to je jako by někdo celý život jedl pouze jeden typ jídla a nosil jedny a ty samé šaty. Každý má něco radši, čemu dává přednost, u mě jsou to akční karate nebo asijské filmy a ty nemají bezduchý scénář.

Však ono to je samozřejmost u každého. Nikdo přece nemůže celí život koukat na to samé. To by asi zmagořil

Lacike: Neviem, aké mám rozporuplné názory, ale no dobre. Ale názor v štýle: zanieteny fanda bezduchych akcniakov si pusti nieco od Jarmuscha sa mi teda vôbec nepáči. Takže ked´ má niekto rád akčné filmy, tak asi nič iné už nemá rád. Hádam, ked´ mám chuť na akciu, tak si pustím akčný film, ked´ na zábavu, tak si pozriem komédiu a ked´ na kvalitný scenár a herecké výkony, tak zase drámu alebo niečo podobné. Takže neviem ako ostatní, ale toto by mala byť snád´ samozrejmosť u každého.

Lacike: Né že bych byl jeho fanda, ale ve směs točí zajímavé filmy, třeba takový Ghost dog se mi od něj líbil nejvíc, ale jestli si opravdu pustíš Hranice ovládání a pochopíš to, tak tě budu obdivovat :)))

Expendable: Dakujem za hlbkovu psychoanalizu.Dokonale si ma odhadol. Ja proste musim ist s davom. :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) Stale si mi ale neodpovedal cim ta zaujal film od Jarmuscha, ze si sa ho rozhodol otestovat. Bol to prvy film od neho co si videl,alebo si dokonca jeho pravidelny fanda? Z tvojho hodnotenia som nabil dojmu, ze si bol totalne v soku z toho co si videl. Pritom ten film tu ma 66%, takze asi nebude taky brak ako tvrdis. (pre istotu uvediem, ze ja som ho nevidel a ani to neplanujem) sniper18: mas zaujimave rozporuplne nazory, ktorym prestavam rozumiet. Viem, ze to nepochopis a preto na mna radsej ani nereaguj.

Mne ten názor tiež prišiel dosť od veci. To sa aj nájde niekto, čo stále pozerá to isté? Lebo ja nikoho takého nepoznám.

Lacike: Asi to nevíš, ale já sleduji všechny druhy filmů od akčních po dramata všeho druhu o všem si dělám obrázek podle toho jak to na mě působí, nejsem ten typ člověka co jde s davem, jsem rebel jdu vždycky proti všem a mám svůj vkus a svoje názory, ale ty jak vidno zastáváš názor většiny, že akční filmy jsou bezduché a, že normální člověk sleduje pouze filmy s červeným hodnocením. I když se ti v podstatě nelíbí, tak si vnucuješ názor, že se ti líbí, abys byl frajer co jde s dobou, je to tak vid?

Expendable: zanieteny fanda bezduchych akcniakov si pusti nieco od Jarmuscha? To je jak mozne? Nevedel si do coho ides? Nechapem.

korbitch22: Táhni odkuj jsi přišel, tahle diskuze je pro Seagalovi fanoušky, kteří se dívají na jeho filmy protože je to baví, né aby jako ty jim dávali odpady. Tedka už jsme proti tobě 3, nemáš tu co dělat. Pust si Hranice ovládání od Jima Jarmuse a poznáš, co je příklad braku.
