Jeanne (Sandrine Bonnaireová) pracuje jako porodní asistentka v Marseille a žije se svou osmnáctiletou dcerou Zoé. Jeanne i její kolegyně se dnem i nocí snaží pomáhat matkám a jejich dětem, přestože se v porodnici potýkají s nedostatkem personálu a neustálým tlakem vedení. Když v porodnici dojde k tragédii a Zoé odejde studovat do Paříže, Jeanneina tajná minulost najednou vypluje na povrch a nutí ji přehodnotit všechna životní rozhodnutí. (Cinemax)
