Schorsch Kempter (Elmar Wepper) měl kdysi dávno jiné představy o tom, jak bude vypadat jeho život. Chtěl být dopravním pilotem, ale místo toho skončil stejně jako otec s rýčem a lopatou v rodinném zahradnictví. S manželkou, která ho podvedla, s dcerou, o níž ví, že není jeho, a s fenďákem stále za zadkem. Ani s jednou ze svých žen o tom tajemství nikdy nepromluvil ani slovo, je to sedlácká bavorská palice, prostě s nimi žil, protože se to má a je to prostě povinnost, která se od něj očekává. Jednou ho ovšem dluhy dohnaly a v něm se všechno zlomilo – sedl do svého historického letadla, což byla jediná věc, kterou kdy opravdu miloval, a vyrazil. Netušil kam, neměl ani na benzín, prostě pryč od toho všeho. (chamonix)
