Film sa odohráva počas vyhrotených momentov pred zahájením kľúčových Jobsových prezentácii, ktoré menili dejiny, a to nie len počítačové. Prvý krát stretávame Jobsa v polovici 80-tych rokov, kedy na trh uviedol Macintosh. Od prvých minút utvrdzuje divákov v tom, že reči o jeho neznesiteľnosti neklamali. Je to monštrum, ktoré šikanuje svojich podriadených za nesplnenie nesplniteľných príkazov, ponižuje matku (Katherine Waterston) svojej dcéry, ktorej otcovstvo aj napriek súdnemu rozhodnutiu neuzná, do krvi sa háda so svojou pravou rukou Joannou Hoffmanovou (Kate Winslet), pokiaľ nedosiahne svoje. S ubiehajúcimi minútami sa však z jednorozmerného psychopata stáva osobnosť, ktorú budú diváci chápať, obdivovať, ale samozrejme takisto aj nenávidieť. Asi ako každú ľudskú bytosť, ktorá videla o kúsok ďalej, než všetci ostatní. (Barracuda Movie)
