Biografia (1)

Významný filmový průkopník a režisér Edwin Stanton Porter se narodil 21. dubna 1870 v Connellsville (Pennsylvánie) do rodiny obchodníka. Vyrůstal společně s třemi bratry a sestrou. Vzdělání získal na školách v Connellsville a Pittsburghu. Po ukončení studií vystřídal několik povolání, než v roce 1896 vstoupil do filmového průmyslu a stal se jedním z nejvýznamnějších filmových tvůrců své doby.
