Mladá vdova a matka dvoch dcér Alice Zanderová (Elizabeth Reaserová) nedokáže banke splácať dlhy, a tak si privyrába vyvolávaním duchov zo záhrobia, hoci sama v duchov neverí. Každý zákazník má povolené iba tri otázky, čo sa jej zdá trochu nudné, preto svoje seansy oživí novou vešteckou doskou Ouija. Varovanie o rizikách nebezpečnej hry však ignoruje a začne ju hrať sama. Keď Alice dostane oznam z banky o exekúcii pre nesplatený dlh, ešte v ten istý večer jej mladšia dcéra Doris (Lulu Wilsonová) prinesie tašku plnú peňazí, ktorú našla v pivnici. Šokovanej matke vysvetlí, že sa rozprávala s duchom svojho otca. Tým sa však zlovestná hra Ouija iba začína. Doris totiž nevyvolala iba ducha svojho otca, ale aj niečo oveľa horšie - samotné zlo z ríše mŕtvych, ktoré ohrozí ich malú rodinu. (TV JOJ)
