Terry McGinnis převzal Batmanův boj se zločinem od stárnoucího Bruce Waynea, ale ačkoli se Terry od Bruce hodně naučil, nikdy se nedozvěděl šokující pravdu o posledním setkání Batmana s jeho úhlavním nepřítelem Jokerem.
