KGB má nový ďábelský plán: Série atentátů se podle něj stává osudnou pro agenty nepřátelských tajných služeb. Jméno Jamese Bonda v tomto seznamu smrti nechybí. Agent 007 však zařídí v Bratislavě útěk generála KGB Koskova, který ve skutečnosti pracuje pro britskou tajnou službu. Koskov obviní z úkladů svého protivníka Puškina, ale vzápětí je unesen sovětskými agenty. Bond se nyní musí Puškina zbavit a Koskova zachránit. Timothy Dalton je James Bond osmdesátých let. Nové příběhy Agenta 007 díky němu získaly tempo akčních filmů. Bratislavu musel za totality natočit John Glen především ve Vídni. (Warner Home Video CZ)
