Obsahy(1)

Príbeh sa odohráva symbolicky presne devätnásť rokov po Poslednej krížovej výprave, v dobe rodiacej sa studenej vojny. V roku 1957 je Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) profesorom archeológie na prahu penzie, ktorý si napriek búrlivej minulosti zo všetkého najväčšmi užíva pokoj a nebezpečne sa začína podobať svojmu otcovi. Staré inštinkty sa v ňom prebudia vo chvíli, keď sa objavia stopy vedúce k legendárnej Krištáľovej lebke a hlavne informácie, že po tomto údajne mocnom artefakte prahnú sovietski agenti. Indy preto strasie únavu a vydá sa na ďalšiu mimoriadne dobrodružnú cestu, ktorá ho zavedie až do vnútra peruánskej džungle, kde sa má táto vzácna relikvia ukrývať. Jeho úhlavným nepriateľom bude tento raz všetkého schopná ruská agentka Irina Spalková (Cate Blanchettová), sprevádzaná armádou hrdlorezov. Ruské komando pod vedením uhrančivej plukovníčky sa chce zmocniť krištáľovej lebky, aby s jej pomocou vyvinula „myšlienkovú zbraň“, ktorá by Sovietskemu zväzu umožnila ovládať myslenie všetkých ľudí na svete. Ani Indy nie je na svoju výpravu sám. Na jeho strane stojí spriaznený dobrodruh Mac (Ray Winstone), ktorý má však tendenciu každú chvíľu ho podraziť, ďalej napomádovaný frajer Mutt Williams (Shia LaBeouf), ktorý si permanentne uťahuje z jeho veku, a jeho prvá a zrejme aj jediná životná láska Marion Ravenwoodová (Karen Allenová).
