Majiteľ kasína Donald St. Claire (John Cleese) si vyhliadne šesť hazardných hráčov – stratených existencií a prezradí im úlohu. Akýmkoľvek spôsobom sa majú dostať z Las Vegas do mestečka Silver City v Novom Mexiku, kde v skrinke na železničnej stanici sú ukryté dva milióny dolárov. O to, kto vyhrá sa stavila skupina unudených najbohatších mužov sveta a blázniví „pretekári“ s časom sú pre nich skvelou zábavou. Zmätení hráči odchádzajú k hotelovému výťahu a preberajú bizarnú situáciu. Všetci sa zhodnú v tom, že preteky sú hlúposť. Je rozhodnuté – nikto z nich sa nebude štvať kvôli peniazom! Čím dlhšie však čakajú na výťah, tým väčšmi im vŕta v hlave suma dvoch miliónov. A tým menej veria jeden druhému. Po chvíli sa už jeden cez druhého predierajú dole po schodoch – preteky bez pravidiel sa práve začali! (TV JOJ)
